Develop a game or virtual reality experience that allows users to build and explore a futuristic spaceport. Potential utilizations that could be incorporated:

  • Horizontal and vertical launch and landing
  • Suborbital and orbital tourist facilities (hotels, crew training experiences, exploration theme park attractions)
  • On-site spacecraft manufacturing facilities
  • Processing facilities for space resources
Explanation

We created a space port game called “Last Stop Before Mars” that lets you build your own space port with the ultimate aim of creating tourism on Mars. Throughout the game the player develops their space port by buying buildings, improving research, and increasing income, to them help bring in more tourists and expand the port. There is a tech-tree of the available buildings to ensure research is conducted in a realistic order, and that players have everything they need before sending missions up to space – making sure they shouldn’t fail! The game incorporates real world requirements, such as having enough power, with the future of commercialising space travel!

“Last Stop Before Mars” is a game that can be used educationally to inspire interest in the space industry, as well as create a model of the potential future of space ports and the great benefits they could bring.
